The Latin America and Caribbean and the North American Regions of the WSCF held a joined program on eco-justice called Students on an Encounter for Solidarity and Justice in Cuba on April 1-8, 2012. One of the objectives was a strengthened partnership in their work for a vibrant ecumenical movement committed to working towards social transformation, liberation, and justice for all peoples and the earth.

The fundraising chair will assist the North American Regional Committee and the Regional Secretary in the region’s efforts to secure funding for its functioning, for implementing programming and for ensuring long term financial stability.
If you haven't heard, the WSCF partnered with the World Council of Churches (WCC) to share stories and messages of peace from the IEPC, one of the most important ecumenical events of the decade! During the IEPC, a youth video team made up of young people from WSCF created a Vlog, video blog, to tell the stories of the IEPC. Check them out here: www.IEPCstories.com
Highlights include:
NARA 2011, which took place in Chicago, IL on October 14-19 incorporated two distinct aspects: regional business sessions and a thematic conference related to the annual theme of the global Federation for 2011 which was 'Overcoming Violence'. This combination presented an enticing educational opportunity while looking to the future. For some this was the first opportunity to realize the bountiful opportunities of becoming part of a global community of students striving to make social change through their faith in God and their action in community.
